[Same place as always. It was getting more and more familiar now as the weeks turned into months. Leo and Aydin were becoming part of the block. They were familiar faces now, instead of fresh and new. Familiar, but still beautiful.]

Sorry... [Leo winced, opening his legs more and allowing the man to position him as he wanted. His hands felt so dry and cold.]

L-like that? [He asked, feeling like his eyes must have been wider than a saucer eyed cat. He wanted to leave. He wanted to go running into Aydin's arms so that he could make him feel like himself again. Right now, he felt like an empty copy, or a blank piece of paper with the word 'snowflake' burnt into it with a lit cigarette.]

[he smirked and snapped another photo] good boy

[Arthur looked at the cigarette, his expression changing similar to a child's on Christmas] one more pull and then we can begin

[he ran his hand through Leo's hair and pulled him forward taking a picture of his back and then holding his hair forcing Leo to look at him] one more Snowflake

[That prospect of taking that last pull made Leo feel like a child at Christmas too. The kind of Christmas where Momma was drunk again and her abusive boyfriend was beating on him and your best friend until they couldn't stand up no more.

He took a shaky breath as the man held his head back by his hair, feeling his Adams apple bop in his throat as he gulped. He didn't want to inhale, but he had to. The sooner he did it, the sooner it would begin. The sooner it started, the sooner it could end.

He made eye contact with Arthur as he took one long last drag on the smoke, feeling sick with the fear of what was about to happen.]

[Arthur watched as took in the smoke and loved how Leo's face look, he leant in tilting his head as if he was inspecting a car that had broken down] remarkable

[Once Leo had finished Arthur took the cigarette and trailed his hand across his collar bone] do you remember what to do?

[he did like it when his pets knew the routine]

I... K-kinda...Yeah. [Leo stammered. He was meant to lie down on his back first, so that Arthur could mark the front. Then he'd turn over for the burns to the back. That was how it had gone last time. He hadn't forgotten one terrifying second of it.

He lay back down slowly, and waited. Every second waiting for it was like a train racing through his chest cavity, thundering chaos through his veins.]

I'm ready. [He said, closing his eyes.] Just get it over with.

[he ran his fingertip over the burn nearest his hip,
hold the cigarette steady as he watched the boy's body quiver]

I move to a spot you have a drag on the cigarette and then exhale saying a number. There are ten.

[He took a drag himself and then offered it to Leo] I'm saving your shoulder for last Snowflake, it's my favourite.

[The way this man spoke to him made his blood turn to ice. He was so calm and easy in his clear and sickening instruction.

The fact that he had a favorite burn mark made Leo want to tear it off.

He put his lips around the cigarette, sealing them around the paper in order to take a drag. The dry air and smoke felt like the poison it was filling his lungs and burning there. He had to exhale, but he didn't want to.]

One... [He said quietly, closing his eyes.]
