Nix watched Leo silently a moment. He put on a good enough show to someone who didn't care to notice otherwise maybe, but to people who fed on misery and people who had lived that misery it didn't hold up at all.
"No you're not," he told Leo blankly and pointedly. He balled up the bloody underwear and tossed it into the laundry basket. "You won't be for a while.
"Take this hot water bottle, sit in the living room. It will hurt less if you curl up. Eh, the wolf will make noise when you pass the door, but ignore him. He's an ass."
